Episode 36: How New Regulations on KOL in China May Affect You

KOL marketing has grown exponentially in the past few years in China. This is because Chinese consumers shift their attention away from traditional media and towards their cell phones. Becoming a KOL is a great way to grow your fame, influencers, and earn living or a lot of money without moving to a tier 1 city like Shanghai and get a 9 to 5 job.

As a result, millions of people from all across China have flocked to platforms such as Douyin, WeChat, and Weibo looking to grow a large following doing pretty anything you can imagine and even would never imagine.

This created a massive problem for the government from possible fraud, illegal content, and illegal organizations. Recently the Chinese government decided to pass several laws to regular the industry.

Join us in this episode as we discuss how the new regulation on KOL can affect the industry and your KOL marketing in China.
